Crystal Marschel of Pierz, Minnesota and a Beloved mother of two was well respected in her community as someone with a beautiful personality and good heart. Sadly Jennifer passed away tragically leaving behind family and friends with only memories of the life she lived. Crystal untimely death has left those closest to her grieving a loss that words can hardly capture.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says authorities were called for a welfare check on Friday morning to the house on the 600 block of River Valley Road around 10:30 and located the bodies of a man and a woman who were both pronounced dead at the scene.
They Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office identified them as 32-year-old Crystal Marschel, who is from Pierz, and her boyfriend, John Gans, a 34-year-old from Rice. A .40 caliber handgun was lying next to Gans. Marschel died from a gunshot wound to the head, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office says. Gans’s death is believed to be due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Marschel family will be announcing Jennifer’s obituary, visitation, and funeral arrangements in the coming days. In memory of Crystal Marschel, family, friends and the community reflect on a life that, while cut short, was lived with great love and purpose. She will be deeply missed but forever be remembered.
